THE CULINARY POT BY THE VEGGIE LADY
Toni Salter is a horticulturist and trainer interested in certified
organic practices. In this article, Toni tells us how to grow
herbs in a pot. "Nothing
compares to the flavour of fresh herbs. Curry just isn't curry
until it's topped with lashings of fresh coriander, tabbouleh
cannot survive without parsley and pesto simply isn't worth eating
out of a jar - only fresh basil will cut it for my palette..."

MOSCOW, RUSSIA
Keith McInnes writes about his trip to Moscow, Russia.
"The
main part of Moscow is quite compact and it is fantastic to walk
around thinking of the history that has flowed through this city's
veins over the years. Just imagine being back in Red Square on
May Day when the might of the Red Army was paraded in front of
Lenin's Tomb..."

on design websites. Slocombe features screenshots of many interesting,
creative and colourful websites to inspire the reader. There are
also short interviews with high profile web designers such as
Michael Schmidt of K10K and Nick Crister of Digit Design about
their approach to designing a site for a client, tips for new
designers and more." The book's website is at: http://www.max-hits.net.

SUBURBAN
EDGE - Photography Exhibition
"Looking beyond the stereotype of bungalow and bowling
club, this exhibition focuses on photomedia that reflects the edgier
realities of Australian suburbia today. It explores two emerging
concerns for many young people - the affirmation of the self through
challenge and the construction of identity through mass media. From
extreme skating to body piercing, from teenage sexuality to hooning,
the exhibition brings together photography, video, installation
and performance work in a dramatic and at times provocative experience."
Curator: Alasdair Foster.
Where: Australian Centre for Photography, 257 Oxford Street,
Paddington.
