Been in the mood to watch some more Jet Li martial arts action lately. Watched 'Lethal Weapon 4' which didn't have that much action in the first half. This movie seemed rather disjointed and not as good as the earlier ones.

Bought a Jet Li movie yesterday - 'The Bodyguard from Beijing'. He plays a bodyguard and is such a cool cucumber in this movie. He even manages to be the total professional and resists the charms of the woman he has to protect - unlike the other Bodyguard movie.

Saw the preview trailer for 'The One'. Looks really good. The special effects look amazing. Yulaw (Jet Li) from a parallel universe travels to other universes to kill off other Yulaws. Should be cool to watch Jet Li's character fight himself.

Thought I'd look up some Jet Li sites to see what other movies he's been in. Had a look at http://www.jetli.com/ and http://www.netasia.net/users/sgc_wdi/. Lots of info to be found at these sites including info on his upcoming Chinese period film 'Hero'.

The Attik launched their new book 'Noise 4' last night at the Ariel bookshop in Paddington. It's a showcase of their creative talents' work. There was a lot more digital design in Noise 3. Noise 4 consisted of a lot more photography in its pages and some mixed digital/photography artwork. Cost $150. It's interesting that a number of the digital design firms are doing that these days. It's promotion/art. Saw similar books from Tomato, Designers Republic, and Emery Vincent Design at Ariel.

In the November issue of Emag, you can win an IBM ThinkPad A30 valued at $4999. You can go to http://www.emag.com.au for details of how to enter. Competition closes 19/11/01.

Saw 'Kiss of the Dragon' on Tuesday. The last Jet Li film I saw was 'Romeo Must Die' which I didn't find that impressive. This film though displays some awesome martial arts choreography. I didn't like the cliched storyline or violence though. I basically turned my head away during those shots. I was told that Jet Li's earlier Hong Kong moves have some excellent martial arts moves in them. Now I want to find out more about the best ones of these and see if I can rent them at my local video shop.
