BALLANTYNE: NEW YORK INTERVIEW, STILLS GALLERY, FILM WORK, FLYER DESIGN, VARIOUS, CHAOSGENERATION
Throughout my 20's I'd travel to a couple of cities over Europe each year with a great pal of mine, walk everywhere and take pictures, fantastic. I spent 2 weeks in New York visiting my partner who was working out there at the time. I walked all over Manhattan covered most and beyond and photographed and filmed with a Super 8 camera. The Mardi Gras parade was stunning. An amazing turn out and all the way down 5th Avenue to Greenwich village a great atmosphere. I caught up with a pal from New York who said that we should walk with the procession inside the barricade as they always used to. Well we did but it became obvious after a while that no-one else was but no-one said anything so managed to get some great footage. There are two clips out of the film attached. The full clip was used as a back drop to a Sydney club night to celebrate the anniversary of the New York Stonewall riots.
