The
photography with the topless guys, that was a shoot for Poster Magazine
that I collaborated with Studio Anybody on.
It
was a nice idea, the brief from Poster was Progressive Urban. So
Studio Anybody did a really good job on defining their idea of that
with portraying a series of similar looking guys and their favourite
Vinyl Album.
I
looked at the project and thought it would be a great idea to shoot
each of the portraits using only three frames and with the guys
standing three quarter to the camera so I could see their posture
and the attitude with which they held themselves. The idea behind
three frames was that, I would be guaranteed no blinking and it
would give the people no chance to warm to the camera, if they were
confident, this would be picked up, if they were vulnerable that
this would be picked up etc...
This
project was shot in 2002.
