YOUNG BLOOD DESIGNERS MARKET 2006
The Young Blood Designers Market took place at the Powerhouse Museum on 11th and 12th August 2006. It featured over 60 stalls of young designers who are creating some very beautiful, funky and innovative pieces. Rachel Bending

INTERVIEW WITH RACHEL BENDING - SLINGFINGS
Rachel Bending established the Slingfings bags label 2 years ago. The bags are made from reclaimed vintage fabrics from the 50s to the 90s, and are produced using solar power. The bags are produced locally in Bryon Bay. The bags are now sold in around 30 outlets in Australia and online. Phil Daly interviewed her on BAYFM 99.9fm, during the Bryon Business show. Jean Snow developed and maintains an online magazine with the tagline: "
Thrills, chills, and happy pills from the Tokyo front." It covers what Jean finds interesting about Tokyo and Japan including design events, culture, sights, music and more. He has a daily audience of around 2000-3000 people. He is currently setting up blogs for the "Tokyo Style in Gothenburg" event and is also launching an indie music label with a friend.

Lucas Ihlein is an artist who's interested in "art projects which draw attention to the elements of exchange and communication between people." Lucas was a winner of the 2003 Freedman Foundation Travelling Scholarship for Emerging Artists. He is currently in Montreal researching "Expanded Cinema", Fluxus, and social research projects. He is also involved with the development of the Network of Uncollectable Artists.
